Arturo "Arthur" R. Garcia (Plainview)

Arturo “Arthur” R. Garcia, 96, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, April 13, 2017 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Oscar Chavez, Chaplain of Area Community Hospice officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M., Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Garcia was born on July 28, 1920. He married Dominga Garcia on August 25, 1959 in Plainview. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Mr. Garcia was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Dominga Garcia of Plainview; four daughters, Felma Sanchez & husband Ray of Davenport, IA, Mary Lou Favela & husband Milton, Jr. of Grand Prairie, Elizabeth Rodriguez & husband Rene of Amarillo and Cynthia Ruiz & husband Rene of Plainview; two sons, Arthur Garcia, Jr. & wife Elena of Lubbock and Jimmy Garcia & wife Beatrice of Plainview; twelve grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
