Tulia, Texas—Roberta Kleman, 86, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 10:30 am in the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit with Monsignor Harold Waldow, Celebrant and Deacon Jackie Gunnels, assisting. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A rosary will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at 6:00 pm at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit. Roberta was born on April 24, 1930 in Nazareth to Carl Thomas and Anna Agnes Bowers. She grew up in Nazareth and graduated from Nazareth High School. She married Urban Kleman on October 4, 1950 in Nazareth. After their marriage they moved to Tulia. She worked in the school cafeteria for several years and was known for her cinnamon rolls. She had a servant’s heart serving at the church for several years where she added her special touch to the flower arrangements for the church among many other things. She also loved helping others in the community. She was always looking to help others. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son: Kevin Kleman, her grandson: John Green, three brothers: Robert Bowers (her twin), George Bowers and Dale Bowers and two sisters: Betty Hollenbeck and Carolyn Weber and her son-in-law: Raef Albracht. She is survived by her children: Brenda and Jackie Gunnels of Tulia, Cheryl and Jim Green of Leoti, Kansas, Keith and Sherie Kleman of Amarillo, Wanda and Buddy Vineyard of Kress and Melissa Albracht of Clovis, NM, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and two brothers: Charles and Nancy Bowers of Aztec, NM and Sid and Shirley Bowers of Broken Arrow, OK.
