Lazaro Luna, Sr, (Plainview)

Lazaro Luna, Jr., 92, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, April 21, 2017 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mike Toney officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6-7 P.M., Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Luna was born on March 21, 1925 in Hubert, Texas to Lazaro, Sr. & Luisa Luna. He was a long time resident of Plainview and worked as a truck driver for Excel. He was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista in Plainview. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosario Perez Luna; grandson, Antonio Saldana, III and granddaughter, Annette Saldana. He is survived by eight daughters, Mary Saldana & husband Tony of Dallas, Tana Godsey & husband Lynn of Ennis, Georgia Gallardo of Sweetwater, Elena Sepeda & husband Alfredo of Plainview, Delores Ungs & husband Greg of Wichita Falls, Victoria Garcia of Plainview, Rosita Luna of Austin and Tammy Toney & husband Mike of Charlotte, NC; three sons, Lazaro Luna, Jr. of Austin, Luis Luna & wife Debbie of Roaring Springs and Antonio (Tony) Luna & wife Carmen of Bryan; 19 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
