Tulia, Texas--Ann Story left her earthly bonds to join the love her life, Fred, on Monday May 15, 2017. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in the First United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Ann was born Aug. 6, 1932 in Memphis, Texas to Sam S. and Clara Baker Cowan. The family moved to Plainview, Texas when she was a young child and she grew up into a beautiful young lady. She met the love of her life, Fred A. Story, in high school and promptly told her Mother, he is the man I will marry. They were married Aug. 8, 1952 in Plainview, TX. They had a magical life together. They soon had two children, a boy Larry and a girl Carol. They moved their young family to Tulia, TX in 1961 and began a life of working together in the photography business. Together they photographed many in Swisher County and the surrounding areas. Ann was involved in many organizations in Tulia. She was very active in Girl Scouts taking many on fun trips for many years. She and Fred would also run the Band Parents concession booth at football games for every home game during their children's high school years in Tulia. Ann and Fred worked together like it was effortless. Always in the back of their minds, they knew they wanted to follow Fred's dream of Magic. So in 1976, they sold the business and hit the road with their magic show. They traveled the United States doing magic and bringing fun to countless for 20 + years. After retiring, they settled back into a happy quiet life in Tulia, enjoying their many friends and grandchildren. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Fred. She is survived by a son Larry (Sharron) Story, a daughter Carol Allen, a brother Sam (Jean) Cowan, four fabulous grandsons, Brandon (Lisa) Story and Shane (Elissa) Story and their families, Michael (Sarah) Allen and Jeffrey (Brianna) Allen and their families, 8 wonderful great-grandchildren, very special sister-in-law Joanne Story, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
