Tulia, Texas—Marilyn Cope Raymond, 64, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Tulia with Rev. Kurt Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Happy Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Monday, June 5, 2017 at the funeral home. Marilyn was born on November 23, 1952 in Canyon to Kirksye and Van Cope. She grew up in Happy and attended Happy Schools. Her family later moved to Tulia when she was a teenager. She worked with her family at the Lot-A-Burger in Tulia for several years. She married Brad Raymond on April 6, 1973. She worked for the cleaner’s in Tulia for several years and in the café at the Sale Barn for several years until she retired 6 years ago. She attended Tulia Christian Fellowship. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law: Eddie Cope. She is survived by her husband; Brad Raymond of Tulia, her daughter; Carrie Jill Raymond of Tulia, her brother: Jim Cope of Tulia, her grandson: Brady Garcia of Tulia and several other family members.
