Florence Mull Laswell passed away at the age of 81 and awoke in the arms of Jesus on Mother’s Day, May 14, 2006. She was the youngest daughter of Pearl and Tom Mull, and the last survivor of her siblings. The loving mother of James, who was waiting to greet her in heaven, with her husband, Cal. Florence was known for her wonderful sense of humor, and lively stories that would keep an audience captive. She enjoyed family, gardening, garage sales and the most simple joys of live. Of her many wonderful qualities, she was known for devotion to family, them being the source of her greatest purpose and enjoyment in life. Florence leaves behind her loving family that include daughters Ann and husband Ray Cunningham of Ft. Worth, Claudia and husband Tim Pontier of San Diego, California, and daughter-in-law Karen Maddox of Dallas. Additionally, her cherished grandchildren: Danzi with husband David Castle of London, England; Kasi Cunningham of Ft. Worth, and Brad Cunningham, also of Ft. Worth. She was blessed with wonderful great grandchildren: Madison, and twins James and George Castle. The family thanks Plainview Healthcare Center for their love and care, and to Area Community Hospice for their compassion and understanding. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at the First Baptist Church Family Life Chapel, with Rev. Joe P. Weldon officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Plainview Cemetery by Kornerstone Directors of Plainview.
