Elaine Wilson (Plainview)

Elaine Wilson, 87, of Plainview, formerly of Tulia, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017. Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in Plainview Memorial Park with Mr. Oscar Chavez, Chaplain of Area Community Hospice officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas. Mrs. Wilson was born on October 9, 1929 to J.W. & Ozie Halbert in Dunn, Texas. She grew up and graduated high school from Sweetwater, Texas, and attended Abilene Christian University where she met L.G. Wilson. They were married on June 16, 1949. She was a devoted and proud coaches wife for over 40 years. He preceded her in death on June 29, 2001. She is survived by one daughter, DeAun Criswell & husband David of Plainview; one son, Stan Wilson & wife Angela of Sante Fe, NM; five grandchildren, Taryn Minter & husband Chad, Todd Criswell & wife Ashley, Ty Criswell & wife Chelsea, Marisa Wilson and Kadyn Wilson; three great grandchildren, Delaney Minter, Ainsley Minter and Hollis Criswell. The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to staff of Sante Fe Place and Area Community Hospice for their special care.
