Betty Esquivel (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas-Betty Esquivel, 60, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 22, 2017 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Betty was born on June 6, 1957 in Tulia to Felix and Herminia DeLaRosa. She graduated from Tulia where she later worked at Paul and Eddie’s and El Matador restaurant’s in Tulia for many years. She worked at the Tulia Senior Citizens the last years of her life. She was a member of the Life in the Word. Betty was a collector of many things and she loved everyone here in Tulia and had many adopted grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Benjamin DeLaRosa and Adam DeLaRosa, one sister: Cecilia DeLaRosa. She is survived by her two daughters: Alicia Salinas & husband Daniel and Cristina Salinas & husband Eddie both of Tulia, two brothers: Felix DeLaRosa Jr. of Tulia, Domingo DeLaRosa of NC, six sisters: Marie Dunn of Amarillo, Bigenia Arriaga of Canyon, Yolanda Jones of Amarillo, Susie Galvan of NC, Geneva DeLaRosa Castro of Brownfield and Rebecca Moreno of Tulia, nine grandchildren and one great grandson.
