Anna Ruth Williams (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Anna Ruth Williams, 79, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017. A memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Tulia with Rev. Oscar Chavez, Chaplain of Area Community Hospice officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Anna Ruth was born on February 28, 1938 in Plainview to Harold and Laura Rousser. She grew up in Kress and graduated from Kress High School in 1956. She married Ellison Williams on September 7, 1957 in Kress. She was a homemaker and also worked as a secretary for Center Plains Gin and a library aide for Kress Schools. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Kress. They moved to Tulia in 2004. She is survived by her husband: Ellison Williams of Tulia, two sons: Michael Williams of Amarillo and Courtney Williams and wife Jennifer of Early, TX, one sister: Mary North of Amarillo, four granddaughters: Cheyenne Berggren and husband Ross of Amarillo, Sydney Williams of Amarillo, Laura “Grace” Williams of Early, and Katie Williams of Early and one grandson: Ellison “Eli” Williams of Early, two nieces: Rosemary Smith of Amarillo and AnnaLisa Homan of Massachusetts, several cousins and one great granddaughter on the way.
