Tulia, Texas –Jack Loring, 85, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Doug Cherry and Charles Kiker officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Jack was born on August 28, 1931 in Tulia to Talton and Kathleen Loring. He graduated from Happy High School and attended Texas Tech before returning to the family farm in Tulia and farmed for 45 years. He married Ann Vaughn on June 8, 1952 in Red Springs, Texas. They moved to Amarillo in 1995 and he worked as a crop adjuster for Heartland Insurance Company until the age of 84. He was a family man. He was actively involved with his children’s activities in school and even into their adult lives. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife: Ann Loring of Amarillo, three daughters: Marci Abrahamson and husband George of Amarillo, Lisa Cherry and husband Doug of Canyon and Cally Mote and husband Brent of Tulia, six grandchildren: Anna Watson of Amarillo, Desiree Walz and husband J.D. of Houston, Jack Cherry and wife Ashley of Ft. Worth, Chelsey Hacker and husband Jordan of Canyon, Jackelyn Dawson and husband Dan of Houston and Julie Jay and husband Jeff of Clarendon and 12 great grandchildren.
