Mary Louder(Plainview)

Mary Louder, 89, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 in Lubbock, TX. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Kress Methodist Church in Kress, Texas with pastor, Rev. Donna Lindley and Rev. Ernie McGaughey officiating. Burial will follow in the Kress Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview. A visitation will be held 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mary was born on October 6, 1927 in Henderson, TX to Lester and Lenore (Smith) LaGrange. She grew up in Amherst and attended school there. She graduated from McMurry College and taught school for several years. She married Gene Louder and they were married for 56 years. She was a pastor’s wife and a homemaker and was very active in Kress United Methodist Women, Kress Keenagers and the Kress Study Club. Mrs. Louder was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gene Louder in 2016 and a brother, Lester LaGrange, Jr. She is survived by a son, Monte Louder of Kress, Texas; a grandson, James Louder of San Antonio, Texas and a niece, Anne Loving of Ridgewood, New Jersey.
