Tulia, Texas—Jean Burnett Berry, 65, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11:00 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. David Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.  Jean was born on April 9, 1952 in Pampa, Texas to William James Burnett and Ruth LaBelle Walker. Jean worked at the Royal Park in Tulia for 20 years and later worked at Tulia Health and Rehabilitation as a Dietary Manager for 19 years. Jeans hobbies were to sing, cook and especially watching her grandchildren, and many people knew her by her cooking. For fun Jean would go bowling until she became very ill. The family would like to give a special gratitude to Annie Lowry & husband John, Tina Ray & husband Michael and Latoya McGowan & husband Shannon for taking care of Jean.  Jean is preceded in death by her parents, her common law husband: Eliga Mann Kelly, her brother: Curtis Johnson: her sisters: Ruth Ann Walker, Albertine Walker and Joan Burnett and a step-brother: Charles Jennings. She is survived by her daughter: Willa Finaye Wilson & husband Michael of Tulia, her step-children: Shirley Kelly, Eliga Kelly, Jr., Eugene Kelly, Denise Kelly, Tony Kelly, Etta Edwards and Billy Joe Kelly, her brothers: Nelson Shanklin of Sea Grace, William Burnett II of San Diego, California, her sisters Gloris Ann Jennings and Ethel Shaw, her honorary sisters: Irene Daniel and Anna Perkins and three grandchildren.  Online condolences may be made at www.kornerstonefunerals.com.
