Billy Dale McGee (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Billy Dale McGee, 74, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Tulia. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Billy Dale McGee was born on June 9, 1943 in Colorado City, Texas. Billy was known affectionately as “The Old Goat”. He enlisted in the United States Marines and later received an honorable discharge. Billy operated in heavy equipment machinery for many years. He is preceded in death by his mother: Dorothy Chaney, his brother: Wendell Scarborough. He is survived by his wife Linda Sue McGee, four daughters: Dianne Johnson, Jennifer Bryan, Alecia McGee and Barbara “Bobbie” McGee, two sons: Jay Chancey and Jimmy Chancey, one sister: Brenda Driskill, 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The family will have a memorial service on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 1:00 pm. at The Lion’s Den, 110 W. Main St. Happy, Texas 79042. A graveside service will be held at Wayside Cemetery on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00 pm.
