Laverne Wallingsford (Plainview)

Laverne Nell Wallingsford, 87, of Plainview passed away October 5, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas. Graveside services will be held 1:30 P.M. Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. She was born February 3, 1930 in Gracemont, Oklahoma to Roy and Eunie (Sharp) Howard. She worked as a medical records clerk at Nichols Hospital and later she was the activity director at Heritage Home in Plainview. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. Mrs. Wallingsford was preceded by her parents, her husband, Harlan Ulysses Wallingsford, two daughters and their husbands, Sharon Beth and James Mull and Starlene and Steve Clark, three sisters, Quinna Nichols, Juanita Robertson and Carolyn Green. She is survived by a daughter, Jackie Howard and her husband Lonnie of Abernathy, a son, Randy Wallingsford and his wife Becky of Slaton, a brother-in-law, Jack Robertson of Lubbock, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
