Karen McBride (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Karen McBride, 59, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Oklaunion, Texas. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Monday, October 9, 2017 at the First Baptist Church with Mrs. Lee Moore officiating. A graveside will be held at 3:00 pm at Vigo Park Cemetery in Vigo Park, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Karen was born September 28, 1958 in Tulia to Cletus and Rita Dobbs. She graduated in 1977 from Tulia High School. She married Bart McBride on July 2, 1977 at Calvary Baptist Church in Tulia. Karen was an accomplished cook, seamstress and jewelry maker. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was on the funeral lunch committee. Karen dearly loved her grandchildren and family. If there was a need she was always there to help. She is preceded in death by her Daddy and departed for heaven with her Momma. She is survived by her husband: Bart McBride of Tulia, her daughter: Angela McBride of Lubbock, three sons: Daniel McBride & wife Misty of Bridgeport, TX, Luke McBride of Paris, TX and Justin McBride of Tulia, her sister: Melba Simons Brown & husband Russ of Keller, TX,her brother-in-law: Lamar McBride of Vigo Park, TX her grandchildren: Matthew McBride of Bridgeport, TX., Liam McBride of Paradise TX, Makayla and Kaitlyn of Bridgeport, Tx.
