Francisca P. Castillo (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas-Francisca P. Castillo, 96, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017 in Tulia, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit with Father David Contreras officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Funeral services are under the Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 12:00 to 6:00 pm at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Francisca was born on October 4, 1921 in Frontera Coahilla, Mexico to Emiliano and Eulalia Puente. She married Refugio Castillo in 1941, they both came to the US in 1949. They lived in Mission, Texas and later moved to Tulia and have been lifelong residents with their children and grandchildren. She became a US Citizen which made her proud. She loved visiting her children and grandchildren in Chicago, IL. Francisca was a strong, valiant, loving woman. As a woman of great faith, she was a member of Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Refugio Castillo, her son: Juan Castillo Sr. and her daughter : Refugia Martinez. She is survived by her children: Letecia Contreras, Pauline Garza and husband Miguel, Eubeldina “Ube” Reyna, Francisco Castillo and wife Ruby, Eulalia Casarez and husband Ricky, numerous grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
