Silverton, Texas—Oleta Colvard, 83, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017 in Floydada. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Silverton, Texas with Rev. C.J. Walton officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Oleta was born on January 4, 1934 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Audie Price and Bessie Carter. She married Eddie Campbell in 1949 in Clovis New, Mexico. In 1952 they moved to California and couple of years later they had two sons. In 1975 Eddie preceded her in death. 1995 she came to Texas and lived in Silverton and lived there for her remaining years. Oleta’s hobbies were quilting, yard sales and traveling. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Silverton. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers: Seldon Price and Lowell Price and three sisters: Lillian Harris, Mildred Kiker and Ada Clay. She is survived by two sons: Ronnie Campbell and wife Agnese of Fairfield, CA and Dannie Campbell of Pinole, CA, her siblings: Afton Price of West Point. CA, Mattie McKee of Splendora, TX and Buddy Price of West Point, California, one grandson: Joseph Campbell of Ft. Wayne, IN and one great grandson: Thane Campbell of Ft. Wayne, IN.
