Ruth Marie Dodson(Tulia)

Tulia, Texas— Ruth Dodson, 78, died Sunday, May 28, 2006 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 3:30pm Tuesday, May 30, 2006 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Ron Ragland, pastor f Trinity Baptist Church in Lovington, NM officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Tulia. She was born January 10, 1928 in Tulia. She grew up here and graduated from Tulia High School. She married Roy Dodson, Jr. She moved to Lovington, NM in 1988. She was a bookkeeper/secretary for U-Store-It, a storage unit and trailer park in Lovington. She was a very hard worker working 6 days a weeks 11 hours a day up to the day she entered the hospital on May 16. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lovington. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2006 at 2:00pm at the Trinity Baptist Church, 613 W. Ave B, Lovington, NM. Survivors include 2 daughters; Candy Brennan of Asheville, NC and Connie Dickson of Lubbock, 2 sons; Bill Dodson of Austin and Rick Dodson of Lovington, NM, 1 brother; Pete Hardy of Tulia and 12 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, one son; Ed Dodson and her sister; Mildred Loftin.
