Richard C. Burleson (Plainview)

Richard Burleson, 95, passed away on Monday November 13, 2017 in Plainview, Texas. Services will be held at The First Christian Church in Plainview on November 18, 2017 at 11 A.M. with Richard Dye and Dr. Max Browning officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview, Texas. Services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas. Richard was born on July 3, 1922 to William and Margaret Burleson. He served in the Navy during WW2 and was a survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. He was the past president of the Promenades Square Dance Club and also the past president of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jerry Burleson. He is survived by his wife, Helen Burleson of Plainview; two sons, Larry Burleson of Plainview and Mark Burleson of Morrison, CO; two daughters, Susie Keck of Seattle, WA and Sheryl Davis of Sagle, ID; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
