Tulia, Texas—Eunice Hill, 92, died Sunday November 1, 2009 in Tulia. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 4, 2009 in the Plainview Cemetery in Plainview, Texas with Bruce Baird, pastor of Central Church of Christ in Tulia officiating and Bob Colson, assisting. Arrangements are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Eunice was born January 20, 1917 in Concho Co., Texas to G.P. and May Mills Barton. They moved to Lubbock when she was 7 years of age and she grew up and attended schools there. She married W.H. Hill in February 1939 in Lubbock. They lived in and around Lubbock for many years. Mr. Hill passed away in June 1966. Eunice moved to Tulia in 1975 from Happy. She was a member of the Tulia Senior Citizens and Central Church of Christ. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Barbara and Edwin Nutt of Floydada, three sons and two daughters-in-law: Hulan and Judy Hill of Tulia, Kenneth and Bobbie Hill of Sulphur, Louisiana and Leroy Hill of Olton, one brother: John Barton of Phoenix, Arizona, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and also 5 great, great grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by 1 brother and 3 sisters. Her body will lie in state at the funeral home in Tulia until 8:00pm on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 and will then lie in state at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview from 9:00 am Wednesday, November 4, 2009 until service time.
