Services for Melinda Ann Larson, 53, will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, with Rev. Bruce Green officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Melinda died Friday, June 2, 2006 at her residence in Elgin, Texas. She was born August 25, 1952 in Lubbock. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1970 and attended Texas Tech University for three years. She continued her education at the University of Utah and graduated in 1975 with a B.A. in Fine Arts. Melinda has lived in the Austin area since 1975. She had owned an Exotic Animal Ranch since 1990. She was known for her artistic talents in painting and pottery. Survivors include a son, Larson Lee Hampton of Lubbock; parents, Sharon and Walter F. Larson of Plainview; three sisters, Sara Larson of Elgin, Loretta Haynes and her husband Jim of Hobbs, NM, Alice Kofahl and her husband Lloyd of Dallas; a aunt, Sally Hale of Lubbock. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Alice and Deb Turner, Anita and Walter W. Larson; great-grandparents, Sara and B. F. Jarvis. Memorials may be made to Cal Farley’s Boy Ranch, P.O.
