Mark Allen Stowe, 43, of Slaton, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, in Lubbock. Memorial Services will be at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, November 8, 2009, at Overton Park Fellowship (2102 5th Street, Lubbock) with Rev. Jeff McCreight, pastor officiating and Wayne Boydstun assisting. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A Special Memorial service to be held Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the home of Doyle Stowe, 392 NM 267, Portales, New Mexico( west on 267 3 ¾ miles. Look for sign “Doyle Stowe Performance Horses.” Mr. Stowe was born on February 21, 1966 in Clovis, N.M. to Doyle and Maye Stowe. He attended schools there and graduated from Clovis High School. He then attended Clovis Community College and received his associate’s degree in Liberal Arts. He was a World Champion Horse Trainer and Cow Horse Trainer. He worked with JBJ Ranch where he trained horses. He was an 8-time and reigning World Champion. He was a teacher to many who wished to follow in his footsteps. He also did a horse training ministry. He loved the Cowboy Church and was a member of the Overton Park Fellowship. He married Jenny Davidson on August 13, 2005. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maye Stowe. He is survived by his wife, Jenny Davidson Stowe of Lubbock; his children, Kayla and Seth Stowe of Clovis; Alissa Tubbs and husband Jake of Garland, Heath Davidson and wife Lyndsey of Lubbock; his father and mother, Doyle and Mickey Stowe of Portales; sister, Shawna Russell and husband Kelly of Clovis; brother, Michael Murray and wife Lorrie of Portales; sister, Shannon Hardt and husband Jeff of Albuquerque; and three grandchildren, Trevor and Trenton Tubbs of Garland, Jak Davidson of Lubbock and baby brother Austin on the way. A trust fund has been set up for Seth and Kayla Stowe at American Heritage Bank, P.O. Box 580, Clovis, NM 88101.
