Elouise Gifford (Plainview)

Elouise Gifford, 82, of Plainview died Saturday, November 14, 2009, in Plainview. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Fco. Javier Rodriguez, Retired minister officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Gifford was born on September 10, 1927, to Herman H. and Willie Winton Robinson in Plainview. She married A.J. Gifford on October 24, 1942, in Amherst, Texas. She was a volunteer for the Salvation Army. She was President of Mother’s of Soldiers Group. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Elouise was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Bernice Gifford Earley, a son, Donald LeeRoy Gifford and a brother, Herman Robinson. She is survived by her husband, A.J. Gifford of Plainview, Texas, two sons, Bobby Gifford & wife Man-Ye of Harker Heights, Texas and Marcus Gifford of Plainview, Texas, one sister, Clorine Clayton of Childress, Texas, three brothers, Leon Robinson of Amherst, Texas, Owen Robinson of Chaparral, New Mexico and O.L. Robinson of Carlsbad, New Mexico, five grandsons and four great grandchildren.
