Manuela Plasencio (Plainview)

Manuela Garcia Plasencio, 77, of Hale Center died Wednesday, November 18, 2009. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the Church of God of the First Born in Hale Center with Rev. Paul Alvarado officiating. Interment will follow in Hale Center Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Plasencio was born January 25, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas to Marcelino and Consuelo Vasquez Garcia. She married Esteban Plasencio on February 16, 1949 in Paducah, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 28, 1999. She is survived by six daughters: Frances Garcia, Alicia Garcia, Neomie Magallan, Dina Hernandez, Rachel Viurquiz and Elma Castillo; four sons: David Plasencio, Joe Plasencio, Esteban Plasencio, Jr. and Joel Plasencio; one brother: Vicente Garcia; four sisters: Delores Gonzales, Dominga Garcia, Irene Recio and Connie Waggoner; 35 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
