Gaile King (Plainview)

Gaile King, 71, of Plainview passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2009 in Plainview. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 28, 2009 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Dr. Max Browning officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Gaile was born September 20, 1938 in Austin to W.O. and Vivian Word. She was a homemaker and member of the Northside Baptist Church. Gaile was preceded in death by her first husband, Billie Satterfield, as well as her second husband, Lynnvel King. She was also preceded in death by a son, Kirk Wayne Satterfield; daughter, Shawna Ann Satterfield; and her parents, W.O. and Vivian Word. Survivors include two daughters, Kathy and Bobby Kernell of Plainview, Sandra and T. Coe Branch of Plainview; one granddaughter, Rebecca Cross of Plainview; and a grandson Shawn Brown of Plainview. Also surviving is her sisters, Les Blanchard of Burleson, Doris Huckabee of Burkburnett, and Rita Sarver of Plainview; and several nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 3411 73rd Street, Lubbock, Texas 79423.
