Doug Patton (Plainview)

Doug Patton, 70, of Plainview passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 5, 2009 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Dennis Butler of Aiken Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Lockney Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009 from 6 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Doug was born on December 13, 1938 in Steamboat, Colorado to Raymond and Jessie Young Patton. He grew up in Colorado and attended schools there. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a Truck Driver and worked for Wal-Mart more than 20 years. He retired and went to work for Morphis Farms for seven years. For the last two years he has worked for Fore Runner Ag Trucking Company in Hereford. He was a member of Aiken Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the N.R.A. Doug is survived by his wife, Glynda Patton of Plainview; four children, Debra Dryman of Springdale, Arkansas, Kevin Patton of Colorado, Dana Kennedy of Amarillo, Shannon Jackson of Amarillo; and six grandchildren. The family suggests memorials may be sent to the Aiken Baptist Church.
