Floetta Mae Ames (Plainview)

Floetta Mae Ames, 74, of Plainview, passed away at 7:55 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2006 in Plainview Healthcare Center. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2006 in Plainview Cemetery with Rev. Jay Simpson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Ames was born on February 12, 1932 in Wanette, Oklahoma to Roy and Ruby Jackson. She married Joe Mack Ames on May 17, 1969 in Plainview. He passed away on September 10, 1997. Mrs. Ames grew up in Petersburg and graduated from Petersburg High School. Survivors include two daughters: Loretta Kay McCulloch of Lockney and Marcy Wallace of Vernon; one son: Trent Ames of Santa Fe, N.M.; two sisters: Thelma Bailey and husband Glen of Plainview and Ruby Thompson and husband J.C of Petersburg; five grandchildren.
