Mary Irene Pruitt (Plainview)

Mary Irene Pruitt, 87, of Tulia, died Saturday, December 12, 2009, in Weatherford. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview with Bruce Baird of Central Church of Christ in Tulia officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Pruitt was born on October 8, 1922, to Alfred Bryant and Lucy Mae Langford in Hedley, Texas. She was one of twelve children in her family. Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Kathryn Ann Akin in 1995 and a grandson, Jared Akin in 2009. Her survivors include three daughters, Jolene Russell of Weatherford, Elaine Lindley of Salado & Barbara Nyback of Weatherford, one son, Joe Burnett, Jr. of Tulia, one brother, Delbert Langford, five sisters, Bess Reed, Bonnie Kiefer, Jean Love, Dorothy Perdue & Erma Rexroad, eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
