Helen Russell (Plainview)

Helen Russell, 85, of Plainview, died Sunday, January 10, 2010, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at Bethel Baptist Church in Plainview, with Rev. Jim Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at the funeral home. Mrs. Russell was born on October 26, 1924, in Wheeler, Texas, to William Desi Dean and Onita Duncan Batteas. She was married to E.S. Russell. He preceded her in death in 1996. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.S. Russell, her parents, William and Onita Batteas, a daughter, Anita Sue Russell and a sister. Survivors include two sons, Monte Russell of Amarillo and Kenneth Greg Russell of Perryton, three brothers, four sisters, ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
