Lola Summers Fox (Plainview)

Lola Summers Fox passed away Saturday July 1, 2006 at 3:00 pm at Western Prairie Care Home in Ulysses, Kansas. Services are 2:00 pm, Thursday, July 6, 2006 at Bethel Baptist Church with Q. D. Bevill, pastor, and John A. Terrell of Lubbock officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens with Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mrs. Fox was born to George and Elizabeth Baty Summers on April, 21, 1916 in Bell County, Texas. She married Johnnie P. Fox, January 21, 1939. Mr. Fox died February 24, 1991. The Fox’s moved to Plainview in 1940. She had worked at Plainview High School cafeteria for 32 years. She had been a member of Bethel Baptist Church for 63 years. She is survived by three daughters, Neatta Ozborn of Ulyssas, Kansas, Carolyn Alvis and her husband Jackie of Plainview, Thelma Sammann and her husband Elbert of Amarillo; one son Johnnie P. Fox Jr. and his wife Sharon of Lubbock; 10grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. A visitation will be held for family and friends on Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
