Gary Lynn Elliott (Plainview)

Gary Lynn Elliott, 59, of Plainview, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at his residence. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 23, 2010, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview, with Pastor Tracy McWilliams of Odessa officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be from 6-7 P.M., Friday, January 22, 2010, at the funeral home. Mr. Elliott was born on July 11, 1950, in Plainview, Texas, to Elberta Virginia Potts and George Louis Elliott. He married Carolyn S. Speights on December 20, 1968, in Plainview. He graduated from Plainview High School. He was an excellent craftsman who loved woodworking and making custom furniture. He loved God and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by a son, Brian P. Elliott on August 24, 2009. Survivors include his wife Carolyn S. Elliott of Plainview, two daughters, Denise Whitfield and husband John of Krum and Dawn Kelley and husband Mark of Baytown, his mother, Elberta Virginia Elliott of Plainview, his father, George Louis Elliott and wife Marquitta of Calera, Oklahoma, two sisters, Nelda Barbian and husband Tony of Plainview and Kathryn Cozby and husband Joe of Plainview, eight grandchildren, Teresa, Shelby, Randy, Megan, Brittany, Clint, Brady and Koby, one great grandson, Ezekiel Bradley Elliott, numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
