Ruby Davis (Tulia)

Ruby Davis, 82, died Monday, July 10, 2006 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 13, 2006 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Tulia. Ruby was born on July 18, 1923 in Velma, Oklahoma to John and Hattie Young. She married Jimmie Davis in 1947. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the China Club. Mr. Davis preceded her in death on December 28, 2004. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Nan Davis of Tulia; two grandsons, Tracey Davis and his wife Darla of Happy, Cody Davis and his wife Tiffany of Mansfield; two great granddaughters, Sadie and Taylor Davis of Happy; three great grandsons, Mark, Matthew, and Mikeal Davis of Mansfield; one sister, Johnnie Guthrie of Littlefield; and several nieces and nephews. The family suggest memorial to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 50433, Amarillo, TX 79159 Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
