Rose Sharon Davis (Plainview)

Rose Sharon Davis, 60, of Plainview, died Saturday, January 23, 2010, in Lubbock. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Davis was born on December 30, 1949, in Mineral Wells, Texas, to Allie Mae Davis and James Tunny Gilmore. She married Sammy H. Davis on March 28, 1998, in Las Vegas; he preceded her in death on August 30, 2006. She retired from Kentucky Fried Chicken after 20 years and then worked in foodservice for TDCJ for 10 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a daughter, Brandy Allie-Mae Havens, three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include a son, Bill Havens of Plainview, TX, a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Havens of Plainview, TX, three sisters, Evelyn Aneson of Fairfield, CA, Alyne Payne of Lubbock, TX, & Ruth Wallace of Mansfield, MO, two brothers, Robert Gilmore of Tulsa, OK, & Charles Gilmore of Tulsa, OK, two granddaughters, Stephanie & Lisa Havens, and two step granddaughters, Samantha & Saylor Catlett.
