Joe W. Kitchens (Plainview)

Joe Wade Kitchens, 65, of Silverton passed away on January 27, 2010 in Lubbock. Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Silverton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Joe was born October 6, 1944 in Plainview. He grew up in Silverton and graduated from Silverton High School in 1963. He moved to Pampa in the ‘70s where he worked in the Well service industry. He moved back to Silverton in the ‘90s to help his father. He was a true Cowboy and worked on the farm and ranch. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Kitchens, and his parents, Louie and Ruby Lee Kitchens. He is survived by his wife, Della (D’) Kitchens; children, Brandon Kitchens and wife Lisa of Iowa City, Iowa, Jana Beesinger and husband Rick of Silverton, Heather Davis and husband Chad of Merkel, Robert Newburn and wife Heather of Little Elm, Rebecca Jennings and husband Dennis of Silverton; and Eleven Grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the Silverton Cemetery Association.
