J.B. Hiett(Tulia)

J. B. Hiett, 88, formally of Tulia passed away on January 31, 2010 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 2:30 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Francis Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. J.B. was born April 5, 1921 in Shamrock. He lived there his whole life and worked for Duncan Laundry Mat for 28 years. He moved to Tulia in 2000 to be close to his brother Bill. He then moved to Lubbock in 2008 due to health problems. He is survived by one sister: Ruby Smith of Clovis, NM; one brother: Will G. “Bill” Hiett of Lubbock; several nieces and nephews, Marsha Morris of Lubbock, Brenda Scholl of Moriarty, NM, Melinda Raymer of Lubbock, Scott Hiett of Lubbock, Eldon Smith of Hobbs, NM, Cathy Hubbell of Clovis, NM ;and many great and great great nieces and nephews.
