Edna Garza(Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Edna Garza, 65, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2010 at Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. She was born March 6, 1944 in Mission, Texas to Paz, Sr. and Dolores Gonzales. She was a member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit. She is survived by four daughters: Yvonne Perez and husband Rudy, Jr. of Muleshoe, Wendalin Cruz and husband Henry, Jr. of Tulia, Dahlia Garza de Garcia and husband Rafeal of Buda and Esmeralda Madai Garza of Kyle; one son: Roger Lee Garza and wife Erica of Kyle; siblings: Lupita Casanova of Tulia, Mary Lou Chapa of Tulia, Tino Gonzales of Big Spring, Oralia Huron of Tulia, Martha Isaguirre of Hart, Emma Castillo of Tulia, Paz Gonzales, Jr. of Tulia, Ramiro Gonzales of Elsa and Ruben Gonzales of Tulia; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Ester Martinez and Eva Perez. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
