Frank Barrientez(Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Frank R. Barrientez, 55, died Monday February 8, 2010 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church with Steve Martinez, pastor of New Life Assembly of God Church in Plainview, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A prayer service will be held Wednesday February 10, 2010 at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Frank was born October 21, 1954 in Brownfield to Jose Maria and Soila Barrientez. He grew up in Karnes City and attended schools there. He married Patsy Musquiz on July 24, 1972 in Colby, Kansas. They moved to Tulia in 1986 and he was the pastor of Life in the Word Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his wife: Patsy Barrientez of Tulia, one daughter: Jennifer Chavez of Tulia, three sons: Frank Barrientez, Jr. of Dallas, Edward Barrientez of Tulia and Jason Barrientez of Tulia, his mother: Soila Barrientez of Karnes City, one brother: Rene Barrientez, Sr. of Tulia, one sister: Rosanna Barrientez of Karnes City and ten grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father and two brothers: Jose Maria Barrientez Jr. and Ramiro Barrientez.
