Minnie Lou "Pearl" Ballard (Plainview)

Minnie Lou “Pearl” Ballard, 79, of Plainview passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 12, 2010 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Ballard was born on May 1, 1930 in Quitaque, Texas to Lex and Madie Whitefield. She grew up in Texas and Oklahoma. Minnie married Willie Ballard on February 2, 1948. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Willie Ballard of Plainview; one daughter, Kathy Moffitt and husband Lex of Plainview; three sons, Rickey Ballard and wife Pearl of New Deal, Rusty Ballard and wife Brenda of Brownwood, Randy Ballard and wife Hollye of Oklahoma City, Ok; two sisters, Tretha Carpenter of Winniewood, Ok, Norma Cornell of Pauls Valley, Ok. Preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and a sister, Jewell “Riggs” Spain of Plainview.
