Tulia, Texas—Clarence Mansell, 72, died Wednesday, February 17, 2010 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 22, 2010 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Tulia. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Clarence was born March 13, 1937 in Los Angeles, CA to Houston and Ida Mansell. He grew up in Bula, Texas. He lived in Tulia and Lubbock. He worked for Dr. Pepper in Lubbock for 17 years and owned a service station there for 12 years called Mansell’s Shamrock Station. He was currently working for Rail Crew Express in Lubbock. He married Barbara Upton on November 4, 1997 in Lubbock. Survivors include his wife: Barbara Mansell of Lubbock, two daughters, two sons, three brothers: Charles “Cotton” Mansell of Lubbock, David Mansell and wife Mary of Pottsboro and Terry Mansell and wife Monique of Lubbock, 1 sister: Minnie Faye Gerdes and husband Gary of Pottsboro, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, three infants sisters, one brother: Houston Mansell and three sisters: Joyce Pike, Mary Harvey and Ruth Hiatt.
