EJ Sell (Plainview)

Lubbock- Milton Earl “EJ’ Sell died Friday Feb. 19th, 2010 at UMC. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Petersburg with Rev. Roger Foote of Colonial Baptist Church in Plainview officiating. Burial will follow in Petersburg Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Sell was born August 26th, 1946 in Plainview. He graduated from Petersburg High School in 1964. He played on the state championship football team in 1963 – 64 under Coach James Odom. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1969, and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Air Force Good Conduct Medal. He served as a airplane mechanic and retired from Lockhead Martin of Wichita Falls. EJ was preceded in death by his mother Lola, father JB, brother Barry “Blue”, and son Cody Sell. EJ is survived by his nieces, Kim and Susan, and nephew John Brandon Sell. He was also survived by his girlfriend, Susie White of Lubbock.
