Tulia, Texas—Charles Bartram, 84, died Tuesday, July 25, 2006 in Wheeler. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, July 28, 2006 in the 6th & Gaines St. Church of Christ with Nelson Howell officiating. Military and Masonic graveside services will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Tulia. Mr. Bartram was born November 10, 1921 in Mobeetie were he grew up and graduated from Mobeetie High School in 1939. He married Louise Reddick on January 19, 1942 in Shamrock. He joined the US Army Air Corp in 1943 and served until 1945. They moved to Tulia in 1948. He was a farmer and rancher for over 57 years. He retired in 1997. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #733 in Tulia where he was an AF & AM Past Master, Past District Grand Master and a member of the Scottish Rites Bodies. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was also a member of the Comandry of Knights Temple. His wife preceded him in death in 1997. Survivors include two daughters; Frances Bradley of Kress, Texas and Betty Rogers of Mobeetie, Texas, one son; Bob Bartram of Tulia, Texas, 1 sister; Mary Ruth Bell of Redfish, Texas, 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Tulia Fire Dept. or the Mobeetie Fire Dept.
