Funeral services for LeAndra Kay Jackson, 25, will be held at the First Baptist Church, Plainview on Friday, August 4, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., with Richard Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Miss Jackson died Wednesday, July 26, 2006, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was born February 3, 1981 in Tulia, Texas, to Roy Gene Jackson and Sharon McKelvy Jackson, of Plainview, Texas. She attended school in Kress from Kindergarten through the tenth grade, and then Plainview her junior and senior year graduating in 1999. She attended three years at Lubbock Christian University. She was a member of Happy Union Baptist Church in Plainview, Texas. Survivors include her parents, her daughter, Samara Korynne Jackson of Plainview; three brothers, Robby Lynn Jackson (Jodina) of Kress, Christopher Michael Jackson of Canyon, and Landon Henderson Jackson of Plainview; her grandparents, Donald McKelvy of Kress, JoNell and Rev. B.C. Brennon of Borger, and Marie Jackson of Kress; two nieces, Teyah LeAnn Jackson and Raven Sanae Jackson of Amarillo; and one nephew, Christopher Jackson of Canyon; Numerous Aunts, Uncles, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Roosevelt Jackson, Sr., and Aunt Minnie Lou Snead. LeAndra has left this life to an even greater life, that being with her Lord and Savior. She was an extra special person and if you ever met her, you know that her big beautiful smile will be greatly missed. She was a very kind and loving person. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
