Mary Etta Kelly(Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Mary Etta Dick Kelly, 65, died Monday, February 22, 2010 in Odessa. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, February 26, 2010 at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Melvin Tatum, Rev. Joe Gonzales and Rev. Matthew Veals officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mary Etta was born February 17, 1945 to Chess Leroy and Etta Flora Dick in Colgate, Oklahoma where she grew up and attended schools. They moved to Tulia in 1953. She later married Eliga “Mann” Kelly on August 29, 1959. To this union 8 children were born. She worked as a Delivery Driver for Pizza Hut and also at the Cotton Gin, but her love was being a homemaker. Survivors include her children: Shirley Kelly of Midland, Denise Kelly of Midland, Etta Edwards of Midland, Eliga Kelly, Jr. of Amarillo, Eugene Kelly of Tulia, Tony Kelly of Tulia, Billy Joe Kelly of Lubbock, one brother: Leroy Dick of Tulia, her husband: Eliga Kelly, Sr. of Tulia, a step-daughter: Finaye Wilson of Tulia, 26 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
