Bobby J. Slayton (Plainview)

Bobby J. Slayton., 79, of Plainview passed away on February 26, 2010 in Plainview. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Don Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Bobby J. Slayton was born November 28, 1930, in Marley, Oklahoma, to Clifton and Celia True Slayton. He married Ellen Rowell on January 21, 1955 in Lubbock. He was a long time area resident and farmer. Mr. Slayton served on the ASCS Board for several years. He taught Sunday School for over 30 years and was a former Deacon of First Baptist Church in Edmonson and currently was a member of College Heights Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife: Ellen Slayton of Plainview and one son: Roger Lynn Slayton of Plainview.
