Myrtle Rose Gilmore(Plainview)

Myrtle Rose Gilmore, 73, formerly of Plainview passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 8, 2010 at College Heights Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be at 4:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the funeral home. Mrs. Gilmore was born on October 8, 1936 in Moorland, OK to Frank Ross and Fernande Barber. She married Kenneth Gilmore on June 5, 1955 in Dalhart. She was a homemaker and later a care taker for Girling Home Health in Childress. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; granddaughter, Terrie Lynn Verdine; grandson, Steven Wolf; four brothers and three sisters. Survivors include three sons, Thomas Waight of Canyon, Harvey Gilmore of Childress, Jimmy Gilmore of Alabama; three daughters, June Verdine of Amarillo, Barbara Wolf of Childress, Kathryn Gilmore of Amarillo; brother, Dudley Barber of Lubbock; two sisters, Janice Barrow of Dalhart, Margie Barrow of Lubbock; six grandchildren, David Verdine, Jr.(Michelle), Michael Verdine, John Paul Wolf, Randy Gilmore, Brandon Gilmore, Becky Gilmore, and three great grandchildren, Colby Verdine, Korey Verdine, Colton Verdine.
