Rebecca Caldwell (Tulia)

Rebecca Caldwell, 64, died Saturday, March 13, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Central Church of Christ with Leon Hill and Bob Colson officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mrs. Caldwell was born May 16, 1945 to J.W. and Frankie Brookins. She married Melvin Douglas Caldwell, Sr. on March 29, 1964. She is survived by her husband: Melvin Douglas Caldwell, Sr. of Houston, three daughters: LaDonna Hill and husband Leon of Houston, Melinda Caldwell of Houston and Roletha Grant and husband Billy of Seattle; two sons: Melvin Douglas Caldwell, Jr. of Houston and Roy Caldwell of Houston; three brothers: Bon Johnson of Dallas, Gilbert Brookins, Sr. of Tulia and Freddie Brookins, Sr. of Tulia; two sisters: Mae Hawthorne of Tulia and Barbara Hill of Cedar Hill; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by one brother: Jerry Brookins and one sister: Patricia Ann Brookins.
