Ethel Ruth Crone

Ethel Ruth Crone, 89, of Plainview passed away on March 28, 2010 in Olton. Private burial services were held on Monday, March 29, 2010 in Amarillo under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Crone was born October 23, 1920, in Anderson County to George Andrew and Ethel Jones Lemacks. She married Frank C. Crone. He preceded her in death. She grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Lubbock High School. She attended business college in New Orleans. She then moved to California and worked in the Parachute factory during WWII. She returned to Texas and was a homemaker. She is survived by one daughter: Jolene Gould and husband Jerrell of Plainview; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren Memorial contributions may be made to the Plainview Humane Society, 500 S.W. 3rd Street, Plainview, Texas 79072.
