Tulia, Texas—Harold Glyn Dougherty, 81, died Saturday, April 10, 2010 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2010 at First Baptist Church with Rev. James Hassell, pastor and Rev. Charles Davenport, of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, April 11, 2010 from 4 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Dougherty was born July 3, 1928 in Heald, Texas to Basil Arthur and Buna Belle Andrews Dougherty. He grew up in Pampa and graduated from Pampa High School. He married Diann Crawford on November 2, 1950. Mr. Dougherty was in the grocery store business before being drafted into the U.S. Army. After his military service he returned to the grocery business for another 35 years. He moved to Tulia in 1998 from Liberal, Kansas. Mr. Dougherty was a member of the Lions Club and First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife: Diann Dougherty of Tulia; two daughters: Linda Andreotta and husband James of Liberal, Kansas and Shannon Wait and Mike Stinnett of Grand Prairie; two sons: David Dougherty and wife Charlene of Canyon and Kevin Dougherty and wife Jane of Canyon; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
