Dot Ora White (Plainview)

Dot Ora White, 95, died Saturday, April 17, 2010 in Plainview. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Seth Ward Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Ritter Pastor of Seth Ward Baptist Church and Rev. Kyle Brock pastor of Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held on Monday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. at Kornerstone. Mrs. White was born on October 10, 1914 in Wapanuka, Oklahoma to Oscar and Mary Lee. She has lived in Plainview since she was two years old. Dot worked as a cafeteria manger at Thunderbird School until her retirement. She served as past president and as a member of School Food Services for many years. Dot married Ottis B. White on March 20, 1932 in Clovis, New Mexico. Mr. White preceded her in death on February 5, 1990. She was a long time member of Seth Ward Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter Treva Tenery and husband Earl of Plainview; two daughters-in law Martha White of Plainview, Connie White of Plainview; one sister June Young of North Carolina; eight grandchildren Darla Reese and husband Roy of Hale Center, Wendie Pool of Springfield Missouri, Randy Tenery and wife Valorie of Coppell, Rusty White of Plainview, Ronny White and wife LaQueta of Plainview, Rodney White and wife Deanne of Plainview, Royce White and wife Patty of Plainview, Chuck White of Plainview; sixteen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sons Bob Lee White, Ottis Gene White, two brothers and five sisters. Memorials may be given to Seth Ward Baptist Church, P.O.
