Jesse Pinkerton (Plainview)

Jesse Pinkerton, 72, of Plainview died Monday, May 3, 2010 in Lubbock. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Northwest Church of Christ with Hugh Miller and Thomas Richburg officiating. Burial will follow in Halfway Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Jesse was born on May 9, 1937 in Turkey to Joe and Pearl Pinkerton. He grew up in Turkey, Junction, Anton, and Plainview. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1955. He was a farmer and farmed in the area for over 50 years. He was a member of the Northwest Church of Christ. He married LaRue Hayes on December 22, 1956 in Plainview. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, LaRue Pinkerton of Plainview; one daughter, Dianna Miller and husband Van of Plainview; three sons, Scott Pinkerton and wife Cynthia of Harlingen, David Pinkerton and wife Rhonda of Plainview, Callen Pinkerton and wife Emily of Plainview; one sister, Eula Murr and husband Davis of Junction; 12 grandchildren, Nathan, Jessica, Zachary, Marka, JoMarie, Kelsey, Sawyer, Seth, Sadler, Callie, Deidra, Alec; and one great grandchild, Harrison. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Pearl Pinkerton and a brother, Elmer Pinkerton. Memorials may be sent to the Northwest Church of Christ or the Church of Christ In India.
